At the Willow Tree Centre we are committed to offering help and support to people with Learning Difficulties who find themselves facing an unplanned pregnancy or experiencing a baby loss.
This can be after a miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion or having
had a baby taken into care by social services or through adoption.
Our support is free and confidential.
We also offer help to clients who are thinking about becoming parents. Our ‘virtual babies’ are available to loan to clients for a few days to allow them to experience something of the realities of parenthood.
We can run a Speakeasy course for parents who have children of any age, to help them to develop good relationships with them as they grow up and equip them to discuss sex and health related issues.
Other educational work is available for school groups or on a one to one basis as appropriate.
Please contact us for further information or to arrange a meeting.
With the help of the Norah Fry Research Centre at the University of Bristol we have produced a leaflet about our services especially for those people with learning difficulties. Please contact us for copies ...
