Foetal Alcohol Syndrome baby
The features on this baby include:
- small head circumference
- narrow eye openings
- flat mid face
- indistinct ridge between nose and lips
- thin upper lip, minor ear abnormalities
This baby is a good representation of a small full-term baby with many of the symptoms that are typical of severe cases of FAS
Drug Dependent baby
This baby is a tragic example of the effects of drug use in pregnancy and is an in-class demonstration tool that really hits home.
The features on this baby include:
- a high pitched, warbled cry recorded from an actual drug-affected infant
- tremors that cause the baby to tremble as if from drug withdrawal
- detailed, lifelike appearance resembling a drug-affected infant with a painful
facial expression and tiny limbs.
- small for its age, the drug dependent baby is approximately 18.5 inches long
and and weighs 3.5lbs.

Shaken Baby
This baby provides a dramatic demonstration of how even one angry shake can cause permanent disability or death.
The baby has been designed with a transparent head that clearly defines the traumatic brain injuries caused by shaking a baby
When the baby is shaken, affected sections of the brain light up to illustrate where brain damage has occurred
